Social Portal using ASP.NET and C#

I am designing one social portal like Facebook. This portal is going to be in ASP.NET. I am wondering if anyone of you worked with social portal and how to do different features like. User Profiles, Mini Blogs, Messages, Notification, Feeds...etc

 

I worked with ASP.NET but haven't worked with social portal before.

 

If you have some information, articles, samples that can help me to design and implement. I will be glad if you share your experience.
