Title: .NET Programmer/Analyst
Location: Fredericksburg, VA(Only Locals)
Duration: 3 months
Rate: $30/hr C2C (MAX)
Description:
Min 2 yrs of recent related exp in .Net (C#.Net, VB.Net, or Java - in that order of preference)
. Green Card, EAD or US Citizens only. Normal interview process for FT spot will be required.
Summary
The role of the .Net Developer/Analyst will include working with analysts and other developers to design and develop web application user interfaces, develop custom reports, produce web services, and design and implement databases for applications in support of the University.
This position will require the ability to produce accurate estimates, collaborate with other developers and functional users to determine business requirements, and work to implement the required technical solutions.
Applicant must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to solve complex problems quickly.
Applicant must be willing to learn new technologies, keep on top of emerging trends in Microsoft-based web application development, and be willing to interact with customers or other departments as needed.
Required Experience/Skills
• 2+ years experience with object-oriented design patterns and .NET application development
• Proficient in Microsoft Technologies such as .NET (C#. Net, VB.NET, or Java).
• 2+ years (min) experience in the development of web-based applications (ASP.NET, HTML / XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• BA/BS in computer science, information systems, or related field (or degree + appropriate experience or certification)
Preferred Experience/Skills
• Experience with SharePoint development and content management using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/Windows SharePoint Server 3.5, SharePoint Designer and ASP.Net SharePoint Object Model.
• Working knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, XML, XSL, XSLT, XPath, XML Schema, CSS, DOM, HTML, AJAX and JavaScript.
• Microsoft Certification desirable
• Working knowledge of databases to include Oracle 10g, MS SQL Server 2005+, ADO/ODBC
• Experience with MS SQL Server Reporting Services and similar reporting/analysis tools (COGNOS, Oracle Discoverer)
• MS Server configuration experience (IIS, Windows 2008, MOSS / SharePoint 2007, AD)
• Possess a willingness to learn new technologies and keep abreast of emerging trends in Microsoft-based web application development
